After completing P90X, I found myself searching for a new challenge (P90X2 wasn’t around just yet). It took me a while, but I found CrossFit.
What is CrossFit? Briefly stated, CrossFit is strength and conditioning, combining olympic weightlifting, agility, and classical body-weight moves (think sprinting, pull-ups, and jumps) in order to drive blood to very different parts of the body in an unnatural sequence at as quick pace as possible (without sacrificing completion or performance). And that’s my take… there are other, more qualified individuals to define CrossFit… click here for their answer in their own words.
It is not easy.
It is worthwhile.
And aside from the more aggressive Beachbody products (P90X, Insanity, etc), it will make other workout or lifting programs seem inefficient, ineffective, and from an athletic perspective… unproductive.
If you’re bored with your existing workout, or need a challenge after completing P90X or P90X2, CrossFit is highly recommended.
